We give essential items to the people who need them most

ESSENTIAL GOODS FOR PEOPLE IN NEED

OUR VISION

We believe that alleviating deep-rooted social disparities starts with solving resource mismatches. Many people struggle to purchase basic necessities, while many others have a surplus of these items that they don’t even use. By pairing those who have extra items directly with those who need them, we can relieve resource mismatches and tackle hygiene poverty in the U.S.

Our Story

Give Essential started out as a group chat between a group of college students wanting to give essential workers the basic items in short supply from the COVID pandemic. We discovered our impact could extend beyond essential workers: millions of Americans struggle to afford the everyday hygiene products many of us take for granted. Today, we’re working to address hygiene poverty by facilitating direct, donor-to-donee connections across the country, organizing on-the-ground hygiene drives, and partnering with like-minded initiatives. Become part of our journey.
